Fall is at our doorstep and what better way to celebrate its arrival than with a comforting little treat? Today, Kim is sharing her delicious apple pie fondue recipe, a perfect sweet treat to warm up the first chilly days of the season.

  • Ingredients:

    • 4 or 5 apples, peeled and cut into small cubes
    • 3 tbsp butter
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp maple syrup
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 pinch of salt
    • 1 pinch of nutmeg
    • 1/4 cup water (+/-) depending on desired consistency
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 2 tsp cornstarch dissolved in a little bit of water
  • Preparation:

    In a saucepan, melt a little butter, then add the diced apples. Stir well and simmer for about 5 minutes, until they start to soften.


    Then add all the other ingredients (except the cornstarch) and continue cooking for a few minutes.


    In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch with a little cold water, then stir it into the mixture while stirring constantly. You'll see the mixture thicken and take on a beautiful texture reminiscent of the inside of a turnover or pie.
