Une fondue classique… façon Fondussimo

A Traditional Fondue, the Fondussimo Way

Yes, having a Fondussimo fondue set in your family means that there’s a good chance you’ll revolutionize your fondue experience! But did you know it’s also perfect for preparing a more traditional fondue meal? After all, keeping it simple tastes good!

Here’s everything you need to know to adapt a standard fondue recipe to your brand-new Fondussimo set and its perforated baskets!

Your broth options

Good news! Your Fondussimo isn’t fussy, and it heats up all types of broth, whether it’s your favourite homemade recipe, a store-bought broth, or one of our delicious exclusive creations.

We simply recommend that you plan for a sufficient quantity. If your broth contains aromatics, such as diced onions, strain it to prevent them from getting stuck in the perforations of your baskets.

You can heat store-bought broth directly in the Fondussimo pot. It will take about 10 to 12 minutes to preheat.

And if you feel like it, we've got an easy, simply delicious broth recipe for an improved Red Wine Fondue. It's a great place to start exploring the Fondussimo universe!

Gourmet meats

Sliced fondue meat cooks easily and very quickly in the perforated baskets. You can prepare certain cuts of beef, such as flank steak, in thicker strips, or cubes, for medium-rare cooking. You can always serve it in addition to your regular meats to see what your family prefers.

The most tender cuts of game meat, such as fillets, are also delicious in fondue!

Kick off a culinary adventure

For those who like a classic fondue with some broccoli and mushrooms, Fondussimo will take it up a notch. The whole family will love your no-fuss meal!

To elevate your experience a little further, all you need is 2 to 3 new ingredients, such as cheese curds, cheese-stuffed sausage balls, giant shrimp or sweet corn. You can also try highly-absorbent ingredients to get more out of your broth’s flavour.

You can never have too many sauces

According to our in-house survey, fondue lovers serve an average of 2 to 3 different sauces with their fondue meals.

Whether homemade or store-bought, sauces can pimp up your fondue’s wow factor. Enjoy!
